Our bodies are made to be active. If we don’t get enough daily exercise (and we don’t really need a lot), our metabolism slows down, slowing down all our body functions. Sooner or later, things get stuck.
Toxins and waste can’t be properly eliminated. Nutrients don’t get to the cells that need them. We gain weight, become chronically tired, start forgetting things, feel down, have constant digestive problems, and become ill.
Yet it only takes a little daily exercise to keep things flowing and moving. If you’re finding it hard to start exercising, start with a 30 minute daily walk, or two 15-minute walks. As you become fitter and more energized, start adding short periods of more intense energy to your routine. Alternate 5 minutes of power walking or jogging with regular walking.
You’ll soon get more motivated, gain lots more energy, and feel better than ever. Exercise releases your natural ‘happy’ hormones, endorphins, and put more zest into your day.
